What is acne and how to get rid of it in 8 tips to get rid of it

There are many types of acne, but the most common form occurs during the teenage years when young adults experience a significant increase in hormone levels.
These hormones signal to the skin glands to produce more fat. When this oil mixes with dead cells, it can clog pores in the skin and lock in bacteria. The result is often a raised area of tissue that is characterized by swelling, redness, and pus. Also known as "pimples," these bumps are the most common symptom of acne.
Acne occurs anywhere on the face, neck, back, or chest, and severe cases can lead to social aversion or emotional and physical scars.

Although acne cannot be completely prevented, you can take three steps to reduce its impact.

Clean your skin gently every day with lukewarm water.
Avoid scrubbing your face too hard or washing it often. Doing so may worsen acne.
Also avoid using skin and hair care products that contain excess oils. Instead, use a water-based skin care soap like Neutrogena or Dove.

Apply topical ointments at least once a day, but not more than three times a day,
Apply an over-the-counter topical ointment to problem areas. One of the best products is Clearasil because it contains both benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid. Benzoyl peroxide works to unclog clogged pores, while salicylic acid helps remove impurities by causing the top layer of skin to flake off.
Products containing tea tree oil (commonly found in gels, creams, and lotions) or alpha hydroxy acid are also desirable. However, remember that if you use the product a lot, your acne may get worse. So, make your requests less than three times a day unless your doctor tells you otherwise.

Make sure to avoid the following actions that can lead to acne:

Excessive exposure to the sun, wearing tight clothes that rub against the skin, excessive stress, constant touching of the face, working with oils or harsh chemicals, excessive sweating, hanging hair on your face, or using hair care products that contain oils. Also avoid squeezing pimples. Squeezing pimples can lead to long-term infection and / or scarring.

While acne is a nuisance, it will eventually go away. Most people will have cleared acne by their early twenties, so there is reason to be optimistic. Make each of the above steps a part of your daily routine, and you should be able to manage acne. However, those who suffer from severe cases of acne should consult a dermatologist to solve the problem.

Acne can affect any type of skin, such as oily skin, which is most prone to acne, and dry skin may not be sensitive, but serious outbreaks may occur during the winter. Normal skin is equally prone to acne but the level of severity may not be that high.

Nowadays, acne is not completely curable yet but it can be cured with many acne skin care methods. Many seek help from topical medications that are applied to the surface of the skin. However, using skin care products for acne such as "pore strip pads" may remove whiteheads and blackheads but will not have any effect on the production of excess sebum.

However, for treatment and prevention, it is best to use the following eight simple tips.

1. You must follow a healthy and balanced diet, so your food intake must include all the essential nutrients that the body needs to perform its functions efficiently.

2. Drink plenty of fluids, such as water and juices. Reduce your intake of soft drinks.
3. Make-up is not recommended.
4. Wash your face with water and a mild soap. The logic is not to remove dirt (as most people with acne would imagine) but to remove clogs in skin pores, which may be a mixture of dead skin cells, bacteria and solid sebum. Although dirt is not a true cause of acne, it can contribute to an infection increase through its interaction with skin debris, particles and excess oil in the skin.
5. Use a topical cleaning pad that may contain one or a combination of salicylic acid, sulfur, and benzoyl peroxide to remove the excess oil. Another way to reduce the presence of excess oil in the skin is to wash the face with the hottest water you can tolerate.
6. Reduce the use of harsh cleansers and use skin care products that exfoliate well. Do not rub vigorously on the affected areas.
7. If your hands are dirty, refrain from touching your face.
8. If you have long hair, tie your hair so that it is removed from the face. This is especially true if the weather is hot and you are sweating.
Preventive skin care steps from acne are just as important as the acne treatment itself. With prevention, at least, you know how to make sure your acne problem does not get too much and spread to the body.
